BotFather registers new Telegram bots and manages their settings. It is also used before connecting your own bot to a builder or publishing service.

Getting started

  1. Open the verified @BotFather profile.
  2. Use /newbot or the Mini App and choose a name and username.

Things to know

  • Registering an account does not provide response workflows; those require a service or code.
  • The token grants control of the bot and should not be published.

Bot registration and the Telegram Bot Platform are free. Hosting and third-party services may have separate costs.
